Now-a-days the only time you here a full straight edge band that’s new, is TYPICALLY, never. &&& if there is they’re here one second & gone the next. Alls I hear now is bands that have one or two edge members, which is awesome & if they make great music I could hardly care, but, where’s the bands now that are dedicated to edge? Did they just disappear off this planet?
All the true edge bands just sorta faded away with life moving on, there was XAFBX, XDiscipleX A.D., Have Heart, & the list goes on. It’s sad to see all them moving, but it’s worse seeing no new acts that can be as true as some of those bands were. I’m just waiting for a true edge band, idc what style they are, straight-up hardcore, or deathcore, or even metal. I just wanna see a vocalist with 3 X’s tattooed somewhere on his body, & the rest of the band with the same thing. Like honestly the one edge band, not new to the scene of course, but xtyrantx, I give the vocalist so much credit for being so true to edge with some of the tats he has on his face & all that. & even if a new edge band doesn’t have 3 x’s tattooed somewhere on their body or wears an edge shirt, I would just love to know that if I met those guys or talked to them that they’d actually be sober when they talk to me. I appreciate that a lot. I can’t stand when your meeting someone new & they’re high or wasted. &&& I’m not gonna lie, if I know that band has a good purpose I’ll buy their music or a tee or both, but if a band I know gets high a lot or I hear story’s about them partying & shit like that, well then I’m not gonna give them my money so they can keep doing it. I earned my money. I’m not giving it to them so they can go buy drugs or alcohol with it. I want my money to go to them so they can get something to eat, pay their bills, & keep touring. If you know a new edge band(s) that are actually worth a listen, & I like them, I’ll post something about them to try to get the word about them. So reply to this if you do know one, thanks!

In the past 2 or 3 years I have to say the edge scene in the Tampa/St.Petersburg area has stayed about neutral with members. However, everyonce in awhile I’ll see someone with 3 X’s tattooed around their legs or neck or some shirt that says straight fuckin’ edge. In fact about a month or so ago I was driving to go to a friend’s place & A jeep passed me with straight-edge stickered on the back of the person’s car. But I’ve heard a lot of people complaining how their edge scene fuckin’ blows due to tons of dropouts or just people aren’t interested. I mean do I care if I’m the only person who is edge in my town? No. Do I care if I’m the only person who is edge in the world? No. It’s our own choice. I just think it’s lame that some edge scenes are kinda just disappearing off the planet. Cause the same rate where evolving is the same rate we’re dissapearing. I’ve been curious lately on people’s edge scene in other states, countries, etc. If you could I’d wanna hear about how edge scenes are where you live? So if you could inform me it’d be pretty tight.

Edge-day haters & lovers.
So litterly 5 minutes ago I came across a bunch of posts about some edge kids thinking “Edge day” isn’t worth celebrating due to the fact that it’s something you do for yourself, so keep it to yourself. Also they point out that Edge doesn’t make you any better of a person, we’re just like everyone else, which I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH. But I’m sorry if anyone disagrees with this but I greatly support edge day! Being sober is something you deserve to celebrate with other people! All druggies & alcoholics get parties, we get edge-day, with tons of bands & big pits. Last show I went to was the thrash & burn tour back in august? &&& sure I love throwin’ down or jumping on top of people & just having a great time, but I way prefer doing it with sober people over drunks. Even if I don’t go to an edge-day show, celebrating that i’m edge is something I’m way dear about on edge-day. There will always be two-sides to every opinion but this is mine, & I say celebrate edge day harder than ever. HAVE A HAPPY EDGE DAY!

Okay, a lot of people have been asking me, if your edge can you smoke cigarettes, so i’m just gonna let everyone see this. NO YOU CAN’T BE EDGE & SMOKE CIGS. My scene around here everyone is pretty friendly & respectful but, it slightly gets me pissed when I see people at shows throwin’ down in edge shirts, then later that night seein’ them light a cig up. What do people not understand about keeping pure? There should be no smoke in your mouth if you are edge, ever. I mean I guess edge bands & stuff appreciate the support from non-edge kids that just like their band. But idk I sometimes feel it as a sign of disrespect to the people who keep edge true. Idk if other edge people feel the way I do about this subject, but if you’ve been edge for awhile, you gotta understand where i’m coming from. It’s sorta like for the 666 crew (friends family forever, if you don’t know what the 666 stands for, it’s not satan. haha.) if we x’d it off on their shirts & wrote 777 crew over it. all of them would be pissed. So maybe now some people understand where I’m coming from, but hey it’s just another two-sided opinion by me.
All-in-all, just keep respect for each other’s crew/beliefs/or way’s of life. Whether something means shit to you, it means a lot to someone else.

Reppin’ the XXX
Every Edge kid reps the X in some way. Whether it’s a tattoo, a shirt, or whatever. It’s what get’s us out there. So I think within the next year I’m going to get XXXLIFER on my knuckles, but I know for the tons of people following this tumblr at least a quarter of you guys got some sort of edge tattoo which I think is sick. I think tattoo’s are the best possible way to spread edge. I mean of course apparel but I just find tattoo’s in revealing places really get the word out there. I just love tellin’ people what edge is all about, stayin’ pure! Most people respect that a lot, while a few others just say we’re pussy’s or some bs like that, which is just whatever, when they die in a car accident or accidently overdose we’re gonna be the one’s laughin’ next to their gravestone. But a person’s oppinion is a person’s oppinion & I guess we all have to respect that. However I sorta typed this one out, to give me some sort of idea for an edge tattoo besides my xxxlifer one, & for all the other people that follow this give them an idea. So if you follow this comment on any idea’s for tat’s, thanks duders!
